I would sign up and schedule the conversion test as soon as possible. My license expired in June and I needed to drive a car in the first week of July. I needed to appeal to the traffic police to allow an early test date as the standard waiting time can be up to three months. I signed up to all thre...

Thanks zzm9980, I found that I may be able to convert my license in Malaysia. Has anyone tried this? It appears very straight forward from reading their website. All I need to do is drop by with my license (which could be expired up to 3 years). Take my passport with me, with a photo and $20 RM. Is ...

Booking the Basic Theory Test - for converting a foreign car license. The booking time to take the BTT seems impossible. I need to take the test this week and all three of the test centres are booked out to August. Are there any choices on this? My license is expiring and I am taking an overseas tri...

SMS I was interested in his Ho Chi Minh business idea as I was there visiting my clients new branch. They just kept telling me nightmares they had setting up shop in Vietnam. Then I read all his other ideas and lost interest in attempting to think about helping. Going for beer now. I don't know why ...

This guy is Russian for sure. He is clearly searching for us in this post... i like you you will recognise me easily when we meet there! That poor russian guy. I've done the same on google translate to go from English to Japanese. It takes a lot of effort and comparisons just to complete one ...

^^^ Do you just wake up one day thinking of a business idea and post questions on it? Bubble tea, importing export furniture, loan business, and now arbitrage on air vs sea shipping cost?

Why don't you try typing your questions into Google?

^^ It appears you can do it without too much trouble. You can submit the financial accounting year, however will need two separate sets of tax computations based on two years of assessment. http://www.iras.gov.sg/irasHome/page.aspx?id=1388 You have three months following your existing year end to fi...

^^^ Likely not. Even for reporting for basic business needs it's a nightmare. I guess if you have to use something. And better than using Excel for all your bookkeeping like one of my clients. :(

I think this has to be the best summary of the board: We've already answered the original question, now we are having a discussion. This is normal in these threads. The only one who usually thinks otherwise is the original poster who didn't quite get the answer he was wishing for so wants to continu...

A Singapore CPA doesn't really do anything for you outside of Singapore. An Auzy CPA gives you a bit of an edge over the Singapore designation, but still isn't great. If you are later interested in doing a more recognized accounting designation such as a US CPA, AU CA, UK ACA etc you would need to s...

I think it is a good idea to start looking now, but I don't know if firms will be looking to pick up anyone until late summer. Business typically slows down around this point in the year as you likely know. I'm looking to change firms as well pretty shortly. The work experience has been really good ...

Average salary in SG

I looked around and didn't see another post with this link. It's worth a look.

http://www.morganmckinley.com/sites/def ... de2011.pdf

From scanning it, it looks reasonable. Of course there are some huge ranges, but the averages look about right.

I'm Canadian 34M living over on the east side. I've been to a couple of the WNDC events which have been fun / easy place to meet people. I've been the only Canadian there though.

There are always plenty of happy American's so it almost feels like home.

I'd be up for something. I live on the east but downtown works just as well. It's a good excuse not to sleep in all day.

Any ideas on where to go?...East coast park is always interesting. We could hit Marine Parade Mall or the cheap Hawker center beside it and then check out the park.
