To JR8, just curious about your question. I graduated at 38, some in my class were 60 some were 20. Apart from getting a holiday visa here what relevance was there to the OPs question?

Actually SMS I did ask and was told it should be no problem. And yes the baby would have been able to communicate to me if she was uncomfortable; crying is the mode of communication at that age. Fortunately for me she slept through taking off and landing, maybe sucking a pacifier helped.

I would like to refute that remark by the pediatrician. I flew with my baby when she was 10 days old. I also flew another time (with another baby) at 3 weeks. Not once (in Aust) was I told that it may be uncomfortable for her.

I know construction workers who nearly get that much in Australia.

My 16 and 15 year old daughters would love to babysit. The older one had experience in Australia before coming here.

If you got yourself some teaching experience in UK/Aust/NZ etc you will have a good chance of getting a job in an international school with a much bigger pay packet plus housing, relocation costs etc

I was a PR in the 80s and 90s, then lost it due to not reapplying for re entry permit (I tried to in 08). I didn't live in Singapore from 96 onwards. I have now been here 1 year on EP.
