Thanks for your responses SMS and sameenali. It does seem like it is a NUS policy that as a "Non-Graduating Exchange International Student" I cannot work.

Can I study on an EP? I was told this morning by NUS that they won't accept me if I continue to hold an EP, I would have to change over to a Student Pass.

Is this a NUS policy or a general policy? Is it possible to work and study on an EP? Is it possible to work and study on a Student Pass?

Has anyone had any experience with car sharing schemes? How did it go? Can you ever not get a car?

I am thinking of going with KahShare or Whizzcar. Did I miss any others? Car Coop's website doesn't seem to work anymore.

We use our home and contents insurance in Australia (GIO) which gives 30 days coverage for each trip anywhere in the world + coverage in A & NZ.

Or can I register Sole-Proprietor/Partnership (I am on an EP) and then get a LOC from MOM?

My partner and I are moving to Singapore very soon. She works for two main clients in Australia and South America. She will be on a Long Term Visit Pass. Can she still work for these two clients? What are the tax implications?
