I was in a small party/toy shop on the first floor of Forum mall today and the employee told me they inflate balloons for $1.45 each. That includes balloon, helium and ribbon. that works out to $36.25. which in the end seems a little less expensive than doing it yourself. I think they even tie the k...

Rash guards for kids

Does anyone have an opinion on long sleeve or short sleeve rash guards for kids? Is it too hot for the long sleeve ones? About to buy some, but they're kind of expensive so don't want to waste money on the wrong ones.

Thanks for the reassurance. I was thinking of living in Woodlands so I could walk them to school, but my husband is on a look and see right now and says we would be missing so much by living out there. I don't want to waste this opportunity. I think the condos you mentioned are the ones he liked. I ...

SAS bus for preschoolers?

Just wondering if anyone has used the SAS school bus for children as young as 3 and 4 and what their experiences were. I'm finally considering putting them on the bus but am sick about it. The 4 yr old will be 5 in October and they wouldn't be at the school until August. I think I would pick the 3 y...

Crib/kinderbett mattress? 70x140?

Does anyone happen to know if it is easy to find a crib mattress in this size in Singapore? ( 70cm x 140 cm) We are relocating in july and would prefer to get the new mattress there if possible. Our current mattress was destroyed when our basement flooded this week and I'm not even sure where in the...

Hotel recommendation?

Can someone recommend a good hotel to stay in during a look and see trip? Not a five star hotel, but also not a dump? Orchard area? Any advice appreciated!

Talking to small children about moving

Hi. I was just wondering if anyone had any good tips for parents talking to small children about a big move. How did you tell your kids? mine are 4 and 2 1/2. I'm more concerned about the 4 yr old since the other one is so young and tends to go with the flow. We are moving from the US to Singapore i...

Thanks. Now that I know we are probably bringing most of our stuff in a container it's really no big deal to bring a few things we might not need. I'm still looking forward to downsizing on some of this kids stuff though.

Are you sure Singapore Airlines doesn't take pets? I'm pretty sure we flew Singapore from Germany to NY a few years back with our Labrador in cargo.

Baby clothes to bring?

Quick question: are cotton footed sleepers too hot for babies to wear at night in Singapore? I'm trying to sort through my baby clothes. What to bring and what to give away. We will be coming to Singapore in July, but I am expecting another baby in April and want to get organized before she arrives....

Well I. Your situation it definitely made sense to get rid of her since you should never have someone in your home you don't trust, but I still think it's wrong to hold someone's passport. If you're holding it because you don't trust them, maybe they shouldn't be in your home.

Wow. She has some nerve wanting to see her husband after she already sees him once a month! I hope she does run away with her passport since you seem like a total d-bag.
