To continue on this topic, what if the only sibling of the OP was married and holding a UK citizenship? In which case, the likely of the parent sponsoring their married daughter is less likely.

It is very hard to fill a job vacancy. It took us many months to find a credit risk business analyst because we wanted to find the right candidate. A right candidate would be one who has the attitude in addition to technical skills. We would definitely ask the reasons for leaving your previous 2 job...

@uc, I am surprised that they would ask to see all those documents again, for a renewal.

I have a applied for my parent's renewal. Still awaiting for the status.

It’s pointless after a certain age.

I was planning to polish my academic qualifications after a few years. I still think some additional qualifications does help.

My supervisor is an expat from US and he definitely draw a higher salary than a local. That's probably because my department wanted to hire someone with 10 years of US experience.

I guess we should always reapply with improved credentials

a) Higher Salary
b) Owning a property

My parents PR got rejected. They are depenendant on me, a Singaporean. We will be reapplying after we buy our property. Hopefully that will improve our case.

Found this forum via Google. I saw no mention of the 1 month requirement on ICA and went ahead to renew my dad LTSVP by paying 30$. His LTSVP is due for renewal in 2 months.
