I understand your feeling.. I came to know like this few occasions. Singapore system some time funny.. say example, parents are PR but child is not PR. even he born here no PR. see how many few months babies are waiting the long term visit pass at ICA. i can tell lot ... this is not a family oriente...

Have you applied citizenship for your family before as you have been here more than five yrs but still renewing the PR. So May be the reason that goverment encourage you to apply citizenship. If you dont mind please apply citizenship for your wife, Daughter and yourself. Then apply PR for your son.
