For most pple, every 100 applications gets you 10 interviews... and 10 interviews gets you 1 or 2 offers.

Usually I would say you should never take back your resignation once handed. But in your circumstances, I would try to do so.. but note that even if your boss takes you back, this will be remembered. Promotion prospects will be poorer for sure. It's only human. So be sure to change jobs after 1 year.
