Re: Citizenship conversion as a family

Thanks. The question is will they allow staggered activations as the renunciations come through or will everyone need to wait and activate together?

Citizenship conversion as a family

We are considering applying for citizenship. Assuming that it is approved and we get the IPA, different members of the family have different citizenships to renounce. The timing of the renunciations may not align. Is it possible for different family members (Mother, Father, Minor Son) to activate th...

Re: [Guide] PR Approved - now what?

You will need to get a replacement license card as your current license card will be based on FIN number. You can apply in person for replacement card in the Traffic Police HQ. Go there with a passport size photo, new NRIC card and cash/nets for payment. After your application you will receive the ...

Re: Unpaid Leave while on S-PASS

Check for a transfer maid that is already here or wanting to transfer when current contract ends. This is what the MOM is advising as well. I picked up a transfer maid 3 years ago and she has been a blessing for me. Good idea. Should I just call various agencies, assuming they are picking up the ph...

Unpaid Leave while on S-PASS

Does anyone have experience with what happens when taking unpaid leave while on an S-PASS? My wife is considering extending her maternity leave by two months, but she is on an S-PASS. Curious as to how this is handled because she is technically still employed, but not working. One of the issues is t...

Re: Information on Employment Pass (EP), Dependant Pass

When the EP holder is changing jobs, how can any gap in employment by the DP holder be minimized? Can their DP and LOC be submitted at the same time and can they also be done with In-Principle approval such that the old one can be cancelled one day and the new one started the next day?

Including children in PR application

So it is possible to include children under the age of 21 in a PR application. I don't know the cutoff for PRs to do military service, but what if the child has already completed military service elsewhere? Also is there is a residency requirement for the children to be in Singapore? What if they ar...

Re: Proof of residence, chicken meet egg

FIN cards don't show address. However I have opened bank accounts in my wife's name at both OCBC and UOB using my address proof, without any issues. Sent from my Redmi Note 4 using Tapatalk What do you mean that you opened the accounts? Meanwhile she has tried UOB and OCBC. No go without some docum...

Proof of residence, chicken meet egg

My wife is here on a dependent pass. She has a letter of consent and has started a job at an MNC. In order to open a bank account she needs some document with our residential address. I’m in the middle of an existing rental contract which doesn’t have her name. HR at the MNC will issue a letter of e...

Re: ePR

Good luck on your application! I'm considering applying. I'm in Singapore 6.5 years and with the current employer 5.5 years. Do I need a letter from the first employer stating start/end dates and the salary to complete the online app? Does the online app generate the Annex A or should I find a way t...

Re: How to plan the long term (PR?)

Your ep is mostly reliant on your job and how it dovetails with govt policies. I would probably consider PR if you're in a job that pays well for PRs. What I mean is there is no point apply for PR if the next job as a PR only pays a basic wage. PR can cap your wages to the level that locals are pai...

Re: Can a DP Holder Apply PR Alongside His/Her Spouse?

Would the spouses DP be automatically converted into an LTVP+ when the EP spouse becomes a PR? If not, it seems that there could be some challenge if the DP is working in Singapore and then not automatically converted. Anyone have experience with this?

Thanks. I've been able to find the little screwdrivers, but not one that comes with the screws. I'll look again. It keeps happening, which is why I want to be able to fix on the fly.
