Instead of dinner with a bunch of strangers (which could get long and draggy . . . ), perhaps something more flexible like drinks in a more central location like Orchard, Suntec or Clarke Quay would garner a better response . . .

So how's the social life like? Where do expats go to meet other expats?

A friend of mine just moved to JB from Europe. He would like to meet other people rather than just hang out with his boss and 1 other colleague after work.

Could you recommend a few cool expat hangouts in JB?

Hi Fabio

Remember to bring your favourite wine (I'm afraid it's limited to only 1 Litre per person) and cheese too. They are pretty costly over here.

Re: Yes another newbie

I have noticed most of the people posting for new friends and acquaintances are much younger... so I thought I'd post for the over 35 crowd. I am up for most anything and don't know the singles (or otherwise ) landscape here. Welcome to Singapore! It's a great place to be. Feel free to join WNDC, F...

I found a cosy little place along Tanjong Katong road serving wine with finger food to go along Well, what's the name of this place? I've yet to find an alternative to Vino Vino S$18++ = S$21.20 for free flow wine and tapas . . . http://www.winebos.com/vinovino.html http://www.hungrygowhere.com/rev...

Haven't been there in a while but I'm pretty sure they have more than a dozen . . . real beauties too

Anyway, why not call them them to check rather than speculate about it?

Leisure Farm in Johor is much closer than Riders Lodge. Only about half an hour by car from Singapore.

Look up the Riding Package under the Holiday Packages tab.

I'd like to recommend Mr Vincent Lee whom I used to take lessons from. He gives very clear instructions cum demonstrations, while explaining the physics behind it, thus enabling me to understand and execute the motion effectively. I had taken lessons from a couple of other golf instructors previousl...

I wonder what has this "lady" got to offer?

Would a real lady need to capitalise the "T" and the "L" ? ? ?
Trying too hard me thinks . . .
