@ksl, I don't really understand what you've written, but I can assure you I don't have confidence issues. Not when it comes to doing startups, anyway. I'm doing a great startup and I'll sell it for millions of dollars just like I did last time.
No, since the company in the Entrepass application has to be less than six months old. Though the new company could buy the existing company as soon as you have the Entrepass IPA letter.
Thanks for posting, savestheday, it's good to hear others are in the same boat. I don't think I'm going to proceed, but still thinking it over. Will be very interested to hear how your renewal goes -- hope it goes well for you.
The Singaporean interpretation of bi-bim-bap (비빔밥) that you find in food courts is the only good Korean food I've found so far. Cheap, too. Tried the BBQ place in China Square -- wouldn't pass muster in Seoul.
Crikey, so I just got the Entrepass IPA letter and it's only for 12 months from when (or if) I collect the pass. You have to send the renewal papers in 2 months before expiry, so it's only 10 months really. And you can't rent a home without a pass, so I'd have to collect it before moving the family ...
Thanks chaps. It takes a while to learn what's normal behaviour in a new country (and the law isn't always the best guide), so your experience is appreciated.
I've signed the Letter of Intent, but haven't paid any money as I was going to do an international transfer once the visa question was sorted. I realise the law is that you have to have a valid visa to rent, but I'm a bit surprised a letter from MOM saying "come and get your visa" isn't good enough ...
Hi folks, I'm in the process of getting an EntrePass at the moment -- I have the AIP letter and the IPA letter should be with me this week. Meanwhile, I made a trip over to Sing a couple of weeks back to look at homes and schools. Found a great apartment and negotiated a decent price on it, but the ...
Thanks to zantac I'm going to be known as maxidong on here now, aren't I? No, I'm English (we are an ajossi-free family). Our son was born in Seoul so he speaks Korean natively (he's 4). Korean grammar gets into his English sometimes and he speaks like a very cute Yoda. "Daddy, I'm hungry but...
We are a Korean-British family moving from Seoul to Sing soon, hopefully. I'm a bloke but my wife is Korean & spent much of her life in the UK. 우리 세명다 한국어 해요.
My son's 4 (nursery class, not even K level) and will be going to a local preschool from October. At that age, they have a Mandarin class every day for 1h15m with a teacher who cannot speak English. There are schools where the second language is another language (e.g. Malay I think) but usually it's...
Hi SMS, thanks for asking though I don't have much to report yet I'm afraid. I submitted the application exactly three weeks ago and had the dependent visa applications returned to me, but haven't heard anything else so far. I've already got my very own FIN though, so that's feels like progress at l...
Thought I'd come back and answer my own question here in case it benefits others. According to MOM, the initial Entrepass runs for 1 or 2 years from the date of issuance via EP Online. That can be up to six months after you get the IPA letter, so don't go through the issuance process until you reall...
