Re: What was your best or worst experience with a neighbor?

Re: Infant care in SG vs daytime nanny vs live in helper

@Bek, we are just in a process of switching from the local nanny to a living-in helper. If you are interested I can PM you her mobile No. She was with us for over 9 years and is a real gem. She was with us only to take care of the kid, not for doing the usual household chores, so not sure if this is...

Re: Recommendations for Speech Therapist?

As with many other services in SIngapore the quality of ST services is rather bad. If the problem of your son is something not very typical (a book case) you would need a lot of luck. Having said that, I know a good one but unfortunately can not recommend her because she is my wife and she is fully ...

Just a question: You are threatening to sue and expected them not to pull the plug ?? I think it is a risky move. I don't want to get into more details as this is not unlikely they may read this board from time to time, but they simply violated the contract so they have to have a good reason for th...

Thanks for the info and your comments. Personally I think it should be legal even in the bedroom as a cleaner is in the private house as a defacto employee so he/she should expect certain level of supervision at any time in the areas normally not sensitive to anybody's privacy. Contrarily, If this w...

@BillyB, in the ideal world you don't, but unfortunately the world is not ideal and you have to make some compromises. Every cleaner or a babysitter is a stranger in one point so this serves actually to gain the trust. Once it is there no need for monitoring. but this is a bit aside. The actual stor...

monitorig your own property

Is it legal in Singapore to have a cctv installed in your own private house to monitor or record for example part time cleaner or a baby sitter. All of course in the areas like the kid room or LR?
