Re: How much condo or house space?

Thanks for the response. Sorry for the vague question. A door to door commute of 45 min to 1 hour is fine. In NY, I think a budget guideline is 35% of net income can be spent on housing. Assuming this holds for SG... I'd say the yearly rental budget ranges would be 35K (100K salary) - 70K (200K sala...

Singapore books?

Can anyone recommend some books related to Singapore? Something that can help one learn about SG's culture, lifestyle, history, etc. Can be fiction or non fiction. Just looking for some good reads that will help me learn a little more about life in SG.

I would think this type of child care would help ease the transition of moving your family to Singapore.

What are the costs of child in Singapore?

Thanks

Singapore - safer, cleaner, more laid back, lifestyle choice, people less friendly, less hussle, fewer Americans!! Thanks Billy. I had thought the work culture was more strenuous in Singapore/Asia and people worked longer hours. You mind it more laid back and balanced? People are less friendly that...

Living in Singapore vs in NYC?

In general how does living in Singapore compare to living in NYC or other large western cities? It's a general question.. I'm interested in understanding what Singapore lifestyle is like and my only frame of reference is western life. Interested in daily family and work life. Is life easier/harder, ...
