the Indonesian visa-on-arrival must be purchased, as the name indicates, each time you arrive in the country; the visa becomes void once you leave the country... so two separate trips means two visas remember that if you purchase a 7 days @ US$10.- visa in Bintan, you have to leave the country again...

went to an immigration meeting in Batam a couple of months ago the deal now should be as follows: only one type of visa-on-arrival for Indonesia, US$25.- for 30 days, can be extended once with one special exception for the Riau Islands only: additional option of short visa US$10.- for 7 days/6nights...
