Having read singaporeexpat7's comments in this thread, I got the distinct impression that this is one fella with a major chip off his shoulder. None of his other posts in the forum have been constructive and he seem only concerned with putting cabin crew down in any argument possible. Perhaps he got...

Building your own structure for F&B business

Anyone knows the red tapes pertaining to building you own structure to start an F&B business? - Do you need URA approval for usage of the rooftop garden of a commercial building for F&B business? - Does anyone have experience dealing with URA and BCA over building structures for commercial use on a ...

Shall reserve comments for other airlines but the stated amount for SQ is really low for SQ. Even with the slow economy and changes in meal allowance, I don't know any SQ crew getting that amount only. Oh well, since you say you are being conservative, maybe there are some unlucky crew getting reall...

Hey Luohan & no name. Thanks for correcting me. Yes, Emirates payment policy has changed and my information about USD is outdated. That was a point of concern for my friends and me then as we felt the USD was going to be unstable in the coming year. Sure enough, it dropped so much.

Yes caratbunny, it all depends on the look of the brow. Many of my friends flying friends (SQ & emirates) do tattoo their brows. All look so natural, you cant really tell with makeup on. Definitely if you look like those aunties in the market with 2 La Pi Xiao Xing brows no airline will take you.

There will be an impact on your wife's skin when she moves to Singapore. I am living in Singapore with eczema and whenever I travel to cooler regions or regions with lower humidity I feel much better. Sweating adversely affects the healing of the areas with eczema and with the humidity in Singapore,...

Yes Caratbunny. It will be very selfish to drag others down because of his own personal problems. I hope it was not suicide.

This is what i consider a "iffy" situation. Do your preparation. Find a official statement from WPLN or MOM or MOE (whichever is relevant) that level 5 equivalent to "O" levels 5 "O" level credits. On top of that, you should have relevant experience which will be even more important in your case. Th...

Well, you just have to go in with your eyes open. SIA indeed does not have maternity leave. Unless it becomes a necessity under women's charter or something I doubt SIA will ever change its position on this issue. There are always so many Q-ing up to be a cabin crew. With or without maternity benefi...

As long as you have what it takes to be a cabin crew, it should not matter what you have been up to for the past two year. Everyone has different life experiences. If you are a bad liar,my advise is to be honest if they start asking more questions on your past experience. Saying you haven't found an...

Buying Asian art/paintings

Any thoughts from people who have actually bought an original Asian painting here:

- Where can you find Asian paintings in Singapore?
- What were your considerations and what did you look out for?
- How was your experience?
- Did you regret your buy?
