Between Ikoma and Bunka, I would definitely say Bunka. I have JLPT 2 but my grammar still suck because I didn't attend Bunka when I first started out. Bunka gives u a very very good foundation for grammar, which is essential if u plan to at least master the language up to intermediate level. However...

Hi,

I'm wondering if anybody is/has friends working as flight attendant in the private/corporate jet sector, and knows the current salary range? I've heard that it no longer pays as well compared to a few years back... is that true?

Many thanks!

I'm pretty sure they only hire females for their overseas based crew. The few male crew they have are japanese.

You can maybe give them a call to check? There's a number at the bottom of the website.

I think the mixed fleet position is only for EU citizens, as you need to have the "unrestricted right to live and work in the UK".

I emailed them last Nov regarding the freelance position, but didn't receive any reply. I noted that during the past couple of months, silkair had 2 or 3 recruitments for full-time crew, but no mention of hiring anymore freelance/part-time crew. I'm very keen on the freelance position..

My estimates are based on current exchange rates, new contracts, and are generally on the conservative side. Many airlines used to pay better but things changed quite a bit over the past few years. Allowances during layovers contribute to quite a bulk of the pay, and since SGD has gotten stronger an...

Mabel,

Are you sure Emirates still pay in USD? I thought they used to, but since a few years back, have changed to paying in AED?

Are you currently flying for Emirates, or have friends in there? I would like to know more. Thanks.
