My father who is 66 years old was diagnosed with Parkinsons over an year back (in India). He used...

This is my personal experience, and in no way meant to state that getting LTVPs for parents would be a breeze. I am an Indian citizen as well, and came to SG approx 3 years back with husband on P1 and myself on DP. I got a job after a 8 month search and on a P1 pass (your wife should be fully aware ...

Do your PR approval letter state "We are pleased to inform you that you and your family members are eligible to apply for Singapore Citizenship after two years of permanent residence in Singapore."? I was under the (wrong?) impression that this is standard verbiage on all PR Approval letters. Is th...

I believe its possible to hold mutiple jobs while on a PEP. Is this something that you can explore? As long as you meet the salary criteria, getting a PEP shouldnt be a problem, but ofcourse its an one time pass with a validity of 3 years.

SMS - no, not railing. Wanted to get that clarified, so I can decide how late I can start her K1.. in this case at 5 yrs instead of 4 yrs old. Right now, my mindset is that the child should spend most of her time at home playing and learning whatever she can through play. I am not for sending my gir...

Rookie question here - my daughter will turn 2 on Jan 17th. Does this mean she will miss out / fall behind an year when it comes to P1 admission? she didn't miss out or fall behind an year. She'll be 6 yrs old on Jan 17, 2016. So she'll be eligible to join P1 only in 2017, as she doesnt make the Ja...

This thread looks like the right place to post my progress on the Cohen diet. Back in April in this year, I came across SMS' thread on how he achieved his amazing weight loss and got rid of all his medication for HBP & Gout. Having been overweight - correction, obese - for nearly 10 years of my life...

The basic kennels are actually divided into 2 - an 'indoor' space and a 'outdoor' space. The indoor area has lights and fans for the dog's comfort. The dog can also go sit in the 'outdoor' space which is open and can look outside at the greenery. I had both my dogs in quarantine for 30 days, and use...

OP, I used to pay my levy via the Internet Foreign Worker Levy Billing System (iFWLBS - http://mom.gov.sg/services-forms/Pages/ifwlb.aspx) till I got my GIRO Arrangement in place. You need to call/visit with the WP officials and explain the issue. Assure them that this would get sorted in the next w...

My own experience here. I have PCOS since 2006. Got married in 2008 and had been struggling to conceive. I saw Dr. Selina Chua in Mt. E from Oct 2010 onwards. She put me on Clomid (200 mg) for 5 cycles. On the 5th cycle i had a HSG test as well, to check if my fallopian tubes were clear, and thankfu...

There is a decent sale going on in GAP, atleast for kids clothes. ALL of the kids section was at 50% off, no strings attached. The condition came in as 'Get extra 20% off if you buy 5 pieces'. Needless to say, folks around me were grabbing clothes as they went. :) Still a good deal, even without the...
