Thanks for that! It's odd that they hold on to empty units! Seems counter intuitive, I suppose we'll approach and bargain with a number of units within the same condo and have a feel for it.

Interesting Link, I've downloaded the recent rental prices pdf as I'm wondering how much is 'negotiable' in the actual listed prices in for eg. . When they say negotiable, what does that usually mean? If we were going for a $7k Oceanfront 3bdrm in sentosa for rent, could we try and push them down to...

Awesome! Thank you for that. We're gunning for 1500 sqf minimum and water views and a 3bdrm. We THINK we can afford it at this time but when we get there we might revise if things are getting too expensive. HEHE. Coming from Sydney though, rent is quite comparable factoring in the tax rates, food co...

Thanks for that! I'm abit confused but generally you don't think I can drive a rental vehicle with a P license from australia?
I did abit more research and found that I could get an IDP (international driving permit) from australia, I'm thinking once I have that it shouldn't be an issue? so confusing!

I would go with advanced as well since they tend to be booked out as soon as you arrive! With a pet (cat) we're going with Lanson place, if you contact them beforehand they have super special on right now (till the end of June I believe) and we're going with them just based on the reviews and pet fa...

Thanks for that, we'll keep an open eye out and read the agreement carefully. Its nice knowing theres abit of wiggle room for renters and it seems like tons of options and good locations eveywhere. Cant wait to move next month! Thanks for all the responses guys!

Its a standard ta clause here in syd that they can view up to 4x in 1 year and give 7 days notice. Trying to change any part of an agreement here is unthinkable since the rental market is so tight. There are lines for viewings and owners can practically do whatever they want unless u want to get kic...
