Can't say for mobile phones. However, I have no problem using SIP services from my home fiber connection with Singtel.

Agree - My wife and I have nothing but good thing to say about Paul Tseng. He was open to birth plans, working with doulas, and for the most part stuck to all our birthing requests. My only advise would be to try to deliver at Mt. Alvernia (where Dr. Paul also delivers) instead of Thomson. Nursing s...

HLC Leasing - Reputable?

Has anyone had experience dealing with HLC Leasing? Are they reputable?

They claim to own leasemycar [dot] com [dot] sg, and be a subsidiary of the Ho Bee Group ...

both of which mean nothing to me as a foreigner.

If you're moving from the states, I highly suggest you take a read through the moving scam board. Below is the link to the International Relocations thread: http://www.movingscam.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=3987 We got many different quotes but ended up working with Rainier Overseas. I think technical...

Thanks, JR8. Helpful. One thing that confuses me though is the following. I received these requirements from my freight forwarder that pertain to shipments of HHG for foreigners. - An in-principle approval of the employment/dependent pass (if available) - A copy of the application (Form 8) for emplo...

House Hold Goods Customs Clearance (Overseas PEP IPA)

I am based in the US and just receive my PEP IPA from MOM. I do not have employment yet in Singapore, but am decently far along in conversations with firms (or risk taking enough) to relocate to Singapore without an offer. I intend to send some personal effects by sea which will require customs clea...

Thanks for the replies! I think we'll end up taking the route of booking in advance. This is certainly not a comprehensive list, but so far we've been looking at the following pet-friendly places: - Leonie View - Great World - Lanson Place - Orchard Park Suites (+fee) - Fraser Residence Orchard (+fe...

Finding Serviced Apartment Upon Arrival / Before?

I've been reading through the forums here on service apartments -- very helpful. Has anyone found a serviced apartment on arrival in Singapore? I'm a little hesitant to lock in a rate for up to three month for an apartment that I've never seen. I'm considering the possibility of first staying in a h...

Backstop to PEP 6 mo. Jobless Period (LTVP? Other?)

Hello, I'm new to the forum's here. I am in early 30s working in a front office corporate finance role at a major us bank. For personal and professional reasons - wife (non PR/SC) wanting to be closer to parents who are PRs and professional reasons - we are considering moving to Singapore. So, I app...
