Cetaphil is pretty good and pretty highly recommended, by doctors too. I've noticed they now have a wash specially for oily skin. They have it at Watson's and many pharmacies. I couldn't find that one online but found an oil control foam wash. Worth checking out.

No hope. JK. They won't make your hair green, but they are pretty lousy at handling hair out of the usual straight black hair that most Chinese girls have. I don't know any salons to recommend personally, but I would think that the good salons will be where the expat communities are. Holland Village...

Far East & Bugis Street is definitely way up there. Some housing estates have little shops too. But those two are the first things to come to mind, my usual haunts esp when I was younger and on a super tight budget.

Quite a few spots but mostly in the north. Spent most of my time in Auckland. Managed to hit the top of the South Island but didn't make it as far down as Dunedin. I loved Nelson and Waiheke Island
