also threaten them with no ang pau this year! Interesting comment. Is it actually something you 'have to do' ? I mean, I wave 'hi' to them and I'm always very polite but I'm not sure I would want to give them money and I can't quite imagine all the people in my condo giving money? Since it's the se...

Re: International Healthcare Provider

Hi, I would suggest you call the hotline of some international health insurance providers. They can probably give you the best answer for this. Try: www.imc-healthcare.com www.chi-health.com.sg www.pacificprime.com www.aia.com.sg I got quotes directly online from the Pacific website above. The othe...

Well, in the end and just in case this post gets read by others in teh future, we had to stick to the lease and pay until the end Somehow it was kept secret from us for the longest time (that LL had passed) so I do believe there could have been a way but I guess we would never know unless there are ...

moving to Singapore soon, as most of our travel will be with Emirates we're going to sign up to their miles scheme, does anyone know of local banks whose credit cards work with the emirates flyers scheme? Am still in Singapore but considering doing the same. I feel like I get very little value for ...

Thanks that's helpful. Now at the risk of sounding silly....a 'live-in' domestic helper - so they would live full time with you? So what kind of accomodation would I need to offer as presumably that could add quite a bit to our accomodation and grocery budget? Would they stay with you every weekend...

it's a shophouse the new landlord bought three in our street, he's definitely NOT moving in Regarding the fact that the interests lie with the estate is correct. Currently I keep on paying rent under the name of the deceased LL, it's just a new account but still under his name the agents I have talk...

Thanks for your reply and sharing this We've had only one visit so far (bank) for assessment of the actual value and so on. Not too troublesome so far to be completely honest. The thing is that we are VERY keen on moving (just had a baby and current place is way too small for the 3 of us now) but I ...

can you break your lease if your landlord sells ?

We are quite keen on leaving our apartment which has just been sold (previous landlord passed away) and the property is in an estate. The official date of the sale is March 1st and our lease expires on March 31st. I've asked agents and they tell me that there should be a clause about "Selling" in my...

that's definitely unusual and I would definitely talk to Management

Never heard of anything similar before as guards usually keep a low profile I believe apart from the noise complaints when they have to get people to stop music/parties I guess

Hope it gets better !

I like Agoda - I find the system actually very clever The rates are guaranteed to be the cheapest (I guess same with all others actually) but you get a point system by booking through them and if you write reviews, you get more points which you can use to offset your future bookings/reservations. Al...

agree regarding food for thoughts, it can get crowded but the food is good and not expensive. Also a nice break from the walk in the gardens.

I did that very mistake. I was with Krisflyer and then moved onto Air Canada because was told you can get to Gold Status a lot faster but still haven't reached Sivler. I would agree that at least for redemption you probably should stick to SQ because with credit card you can convert to miles and eve...

If you own a car or are willing to driver a bit out of the way, you should try Baby Town in Toa Payoh There are also two "Baby supermarts" in upper Bedok/East Coast, I can't really put the name on them again but they are both on the same street in an industrial estate. They do offer slightly cheaper...
