The closest that I have found so far (after 11 months here) is a shop near Paya Lebar MRT selling t-shirts printed with the word GEEK. :-)

Here is the updated version of the book. http://www.amazon.com/The-4-Hour-Workweek-Anywhere-Expanded/dp/0307465357/ref=dp_ob_title_bk I am tempted. Can't be too bad right ? "No 1 NY Times bestseller and international phenomenon". Imagine all the wifely and motherly duties that I can outsource. More...

Speaking of Java, a new 0-day exploit was discovered as soon as Oracle patched the old one. So it is probably best to disable Java in the browsers if not uninstall it all together :-) just to be safe. Other than Java, there have been some critical updates for IE, Adobe Flash, Adobe Reader this week....

Hi Staturner123,

I got the same account. Not too sure how it compares to others. The only thing that is worthwhile noting I think is the charges if your monthly average daily balance goes below 5k.

Speaking of Linux distros, I remembered at one point all I could get working (Xserver , KDE and all) on a Compaq lappy was Mandrake. That stayed for a while before I strayed into Gentoo and had all the time to compile literally every single bits. Also sometime in early 2000 I remembered buying the O...

Hi Bob,

I do MTB myself but haven't tried any of the off-road trails since I got here 3 months ago. There's a list here though http://www.whereizzit.sg/off-road-bike-trails. I also know some of the bike shops organize rides on weekly basis and you can also join them.

Geeks unite! I haven't been here long enough to convert the store room into a server farm, but not to be left out, here's an anecdote.

I was wearing my Ubuntu tee last night and as I was queuing to get out of the plane, the lady in front of me said "nice shirt". Totally priceless :-)

There is 3 month contract. The other providers contract were somewhere b...
