Thanks for your replies. What is a local minder? Like a day-time nanny? We don;t really care so much much about the cleaning, more the cooking and time with the kids.

Hi yoongf, First off, thanks. Do you think we can find someone like a day/non live-in maid? Someone more than a baby sitter, but essentially one who functions as a nanny but without housing? Did we pay too much?

Rented a 2 bdrm unit in Amaryllis Ville. Unfurnished for $2500. Lower half of tower.

Just interested in feeling out the opinion on the market (zillion reasons why we are renting in this building).

Hi,
We are new to Singapore. We are looking for a mandarin-speaking nanny for day time care and occasional babysitting. How to go about finding one? Any advice based on experience/observations?
