Ok My Japanese is also not very good, but I am married to a Japanese, so if you need help when you are here just contact me here , I can try to help you or ask her to help you in anyway you can,

I believe there are Gay clubs, you can hang out in, its near Tanjong Pagar, 78 Neil Rd, Well once your there you can make new friends for sure, and get more info. where the rest of the gay bars are at!

do pop by Mint Museum of Toys, there is a cool rooftop bar to chill and have drinks just next to Raffles Hotel, they also have a side walk bar that sells Heineken by Pints cheaper then anyone around, kinda nice place : )
