Yes. The best advice is to start an SRS account today to beat the 10 year holding rule and withdraw at your current age of retirement. Since I opened an SRS the age of withdrawal has gone from 62 to 64.

For those of you following this thread - a very useful subreddit has started. It is interesting to see how few Singapore high earners maximise their tax deductions with either SRS or CPF VC.

An alternative to new projects is simpler apartments. Avoid built in furniture. Insist on new or almost new white goods. Negotiate the repair clause down to $50.

Save the kid. You can buy enough time with legal maneuvering until they are at the age of majority. Was your IDP from the local AA in Singaproe? It's a pretty automated process to issue them so I am surprised they messed up. There ARE counterfeit IDP's around (esp the ones you buy online) and your IDP issuing country MUST match the country your DL is from.

It does. People still commission art, books, designs. Even middle class people do it. Much rarer would be the someone locking in an exceptional talent under their exclusive patronage (like Michaelangelo and the Medici and Pope). You effectively see a form of this now in science and university chairs...

Australia is running about 2 years for partner visas (although if you can get an ETA into Australian your partner can then apply onshore and be in Australia during processing).
