First of all the potential employee needs to meet two individual criteria to be considered for an employment pass. a) minimum academic qualifications; and b) relevant experience for the position being offered (this usually means 2 to 5 years). You mean either right? Because entry-level positions re...

"They only hire new grads in areas where they cannot get locals because the technology is too new to have been taught in a local university. " What technology can they teach in Belgium or, in my case, the US to undergrads that they cannot each in the most tech advanced city-state in the world? What...

So if a company requires some European exposure, then from what AngMog is saying, you can get hired and sponsored given that you facilitate that for the employer. I think the question you should be asking is, if you get hired, will you get approved by MOM given no experience? Everyone here seems hav...

re: 0% chance. Is this necessarily true? Assuming OP speaks like 3-4 languages being from Belgium. Couldn't a company find him/her instrumental in dealing with foreign clientele for example? And, this is my question, couldn't a company file with confidence for EP for theoretically having "enthusiasm...

This example resolves nothing. You come in, get 90 days. Leave after 3, stay away 2. Come back, get another 90. Leave after 4, stay away 3. Come back, get another 90. Leave after 5, stay away a week. Come back get another 90. You realise they aren't increasing the length of your effective stay by a...

For sake of some resolution on the original topic: I got a 90 day pass multiple times in 3 weeks of being in and out of the country. It seems to be the sop. No one asked me anything. I carry an American passport. Thanks all.

Yeah but if they let Leo99 in for 90 days, it wasn't b/c of his return ticket to the states. On what grounds did they let him have the 90 day pass? On the grounds that this was his first visit to Singapore and for a US passport holder that is a common thing to do. The default mode is that you are v...

Just to selfishly steer this thread back to my case: it sounds to me like buying a "return" ticket to Malaysia is unnecessary and/or implausible in my case. Is this a correct extrapolation? It sounds like buying a 30 day onward to ticket to Malaysia may prematurely condemn me to a 30 day visitor's ...

No questions or any word at all was said to me on my maiden voyage into SG. Just a ninety day stamp, as per the number of days i indicated on the entry form. Easy peasy. Did you declare cash or in any way reveal your finances before they made the decision of 90 vs 30 day pass? Did you reveal that y...

Also, I've read mixed responses on whether one should buy an "onward" ticket or not, in order to corroborate the "visitor" status. It sounds kind of ridiculous to me, but I do not wish to disrespect any customs or break any laws. So, hypothetically, If I buy an onward ticket to Malaysia, which I don...

From an immigration (ICA) perspective, there is nothing wrong with this, in fact it is what quite a few people are doing I think. Though if I remember correctly, you would only get a 30-day visa on arrival. You can apply for 90-day SVPs or similar, not too sure, check ICA website You should be able...

going on visiting pass (90 days) and looking for a job ?

Hello, I am a recent university graduate from the US, trying to determine if it is legal (and not entirely morally reprehensible) to, say, go for a 90 day "visit" with an onward ticket to Kuala Lumpur to explore job opportunities and then apply for EP if I get any offers. The reason for doing this, ...
