how we know if SIA takes in female cadet pilots:
look at their application form. there's only a choice between "Capt/Mr" in the FULL NAME box.

unless u're already a capt...budden u wont be going for cadat course....

u get the right to abode in HK if u've stayed there for more than 7 years (correct me if i'm wrong).
it's printed on the back of my HK identity card "The holder of this card has the right of abode in Hong Kong"
