Book an appointment for advisory services on MoM website and go check with them on your queries about extension.
If I were you I wouldn’t go by assumptions and hearsay.
Go ahead and apply for DPs immediately. If your IPA is nearing 6 months expiration then go get the PEP card issued meanwhile in parallel if DP approvals are not done by then
Just received the PEP approval. I had applied on 9th May.
Thanks to all the folks on this forum for keeping it so active and collaborative all through. I hope it helped/helps the rest as well, as it did for me.
Good Luck and Stay Safe!
I'm currently considering moving to Singapore in 2021 under a PEP visa. I meet all the salary requirements for the visa, but I'm very curious if there are any restrictions about what kind of companies I can work for under a PEP visa. In order to maintain a salary that meets the requirement, I would...
That is the whole idea of obtaining a PEP. For which, I do not think one needs to be already residing in SG or have a job in SG to get it approved, as long as the earning criteria (SGD 18K/month) is met. A PEP gives you a legal right of residence before one can move into SG and then find a job or vi...
If your employer is agreeable you could look for a 3rd party payroll/admin provider like Globalization Partners. One of my previous employer as a start up used them to hire me as they didn’t want to open a legal entity in SG as I was the first employee. These services handle everything and employ yo...
It’s good to see positive results coming through for everyone.
Any response for fag end of April or early May applications, pls keep us posted. This forum has been quite informative and collaborative so far. Keep it coming. Cheers!
Hi all, I've been researching the forum to find a similar loophole to the one I'm into, but couldn't find any. Since the core of the issue is the PEP processing time, I thought of requesting for advice here instead of opening a new thread. Hope you won't mind. Spaniard, APAC Creative Director. Been...
How long has it been for you living in Singapore ? Asking if that’s a criteria, since there were others on this thread that I thought had applied before you and awaiting a response still?
I think you are doing the right thing with MOM by trying to expedite it. However with ICA I would suggest to go visit in person. I am not sure if they are allowing walkins wrt the covid situation. Usually 9/10 times they are considerate for genuine cases which seems to be so in your case Also, on th...
How did you manage to get the appointment with MoM officer? What did they say about expediting timelines for PEP because yours seems to be a genuine case of concern and urgency. Did they commit to a timeline for processing your application? ICA usually used to extend the STVP by another 30 days days...
Just curious, does anyone know of rejections or the rate of rejections in case of PEP?
I’m assuming it should be pretty straight forward as long nothing exceptionally stands out negatively, right ?
