You can try Sim Lim Square but beware of scams. I don't know if that shop is still around.

A lot of people avoided that place now except for unsuspecting tourists. But i you need to do some research before going there and compare. Bargain with them.

Then it's time to stop and smell the roses. Anyway, I must have worked pretty hard to survive here for 30+ years in the working world. AND to have produced two, now adult, offspring as well. Now you know why you all need FTs. Well, kudos to your "hard"work in your production and contr...

I don't even take my phone INTO the toilet unless it's a public toilet. Too many cases of drowned phones. Of course the few times it has happened I fobbed it off as being poolside and somebody just did a bellyflop off the board! I can see not why Singaporean TFR is so low. They probably are tweetin...

Re: Singapore newbies meet and greet!

Hi all, as there are quite a few threads now for/ from Singapore newbies, I thought perhaps we could organize a little "meet and greet" during the next couple of weekends? I am one of the newbies, as well. I'm 28, originally from Germany but lived in various countries in the past years. I just move...

 It's "cornered". Singaporeans like to type very very fast in the toilets.

Re: Students in China riot when not allowed to cheat in exam

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/asia/china/10132391/Riot-after-Chinese-teachers-try-to-stop-pupils-cheating.html Astounding. Students and their parents claim it is unfair if said students are not allowed to cheat. You know what, as a Singaporean Chinese (i am not from China). My father us...

Is this normal here in Singapore?

Yes, it's very common.
I am a local living in a HDB flat and I mingle with those lizards everyday.
They help you to get rid of those mosquitoes.

I've found the toilets here to be generally cleaner, fresher, and more interestingly designed than in any of the 40+ other countries I've visited. If you are from the USA you are not in a position to criticize Singapore toilets. I'm not responsible for toilet or restroom hygiene in the US, nor have...

Re: What do you eat for breakfast?

Kind of a weird question to ask, but for some reason I'm really curious what people have for breakfast in singapore and find myself asking almost everyone I meet this question... I've just been buying cereal from the supermarkets and having that - but curious to know if anyone has weird and wonderf...
