It seems that tenancy advise should be part of introduction to any foreigners coming to work in Singapore. Even those with rental arranged by their companies are not immune to unpredictable headaches with landlords, agents...

Landlord (a representative relative) finally agreed to terminate tenancy and returning the deposit in a week.
But when asked to sign the agreement, they left with a "let me read this first".
