I'm living about a 10-15 min walk from Novena. I was just in Monteros Bar today playing pool (it's across the road from Novena MRT) I'm always up for making a new friend as I haven't met anybody really since coming here last month.

Do you play pool? If so you are welcome to come join me for a game and a few pints. There is a great little bar beside the Novena MRT called Monteros that does $9 Tiger pints during happy hour a and it has a free pool table.

The only problem I had going into the US was that the fingerprint scanner couldn't read my prints. Took about 20 tries and the officer in customs was starting to get very frustrated with me.

Thanks for the input JR8. I think I'll take a trip to the Irish Embassy today to see if they can give me some advice. It's seems like multi-entry visa might be the route to go but I'll make sure to keep proof of employment etc with me when I travel. I used to travel every 2 weeks from Ireland to Nor...

Yeah she just signed a 2 year contract so I'll be traveling back and forward for a while at least.

Hopefully it will work out. 2/2 rota for Statoil in the North Sea is standard although I have worked 2/3, 2/4 and 3/2 depending what platform or project I'm on.
