My wife contacted the US Embassy and Guam should be fine. All I need to do is find some cheap tickets to Guam. I found tickets to Guam to be more expensive than flying to the States. If anyone knows how I can find some cheap tickets I'd appreciate it.

Have you tried applying at the ministry of Education? Try checking out http://www.moe.gov.sg/careers/teach/applying/expat/ if you haven't already.
