Your baby can have dual citizenship till the age of 18. You can get many benefits from having a Singaporean baby, such as baby bonus, tax deduction, childcare subsidy, etc. I think your child can renounce the citizenship if he/she want but i m not sure about the consequence.

My experience is to buy plus size cloth and its cost effective. You can also wear it after the delivery before trimming the baby fat.
