Sorry to hear yours was rejected as well. It's not a nice feeling at all is it? We didn't ask about the marriage question, my comment on 2 years comes from other threads on different forums my partner found so if you have spoken to them yourselves it may not be so bad. It's always been rather hard to get ICA/MOM around the statutory declaration IF the girl is from one of our regional countries. Had she been from your own country (if a western country) it would be relatively easy, but in their eyes the girls from neighbouring countries are only looking for a ticke...

It's not that we don't want to marry at all, but more that we don't want to do it in a rushed unplanned manner for the sake of getting a visa.

I recently applied for an LTVP for my girlfriend who was on an LTVP under me when we moved to Singapore 2 years ago but cancelled as she got an S-Pass (that time we simply submitted a notarised Statutory Declaration). She is not working ...
