"He can't renounce his UKC between applying and waiting to an appointment... that time (particularly between applying and in approval) is highly variable as well. I was told that it would take 6-9 months. That was in the middle of June (about 7.5 months ago) when I submitted my documentation at ICA. Keeping my fingers crossed at this point. The long waiting time is driving me nuts. Hope it won't take too much longer.....

Thanks I had looked at the site before but those services are only for passport or registration of birth related services. Renouncing Citizenship requires email to a specific email address and have to wait for a reply for an appointment so it doesn't fall under this automated service :(
