How to Change Address to Overseas?

Hi,

I will be moving from Singapore, to China -- and need to place a Change of Address request. Do you know how the process works in Singapore, and if they can forward to an overseas (China) address?

Thanks in advance!

Best Place for Name-Brand Toiletries

Hi,

I need to stock up on name-brand toiletries (shampoo, soap, deodorant, etc.).

Which store offers the best prices? Carrefour? Or somewhere else that I don't know about.

Thanks!

Where to buy a Safe in Singapore?

Hi,

I would like to buy a moderate-quality safe in Singapore -- hotel room sized. Is there an area or specific stores that sell safes? Do they offer free delivery to your home?

Thanks!

Hair Wax for Men

Hi All,

Looking for recommendation on hair was products (pomade, fiber) for men? I used to use American Crew or Rockstar products.

Appreciate recommendations on your favorite products and location where I can purchase.

Thanks!

Advantage of Permanent Resident Status?

I am wondering what the advantage is of applying for permanent resident status, over Employment Pass holder.

Are there tax advantages, or eligibility for social benefits (e.g. HDB housing)?

Localization -- Implications for US Expat

I'm keeping my eyes open for other job opportunities, some of which are under local terms. I am a US expat with an employment pass living in Singapore, and in my current position compensated in an expat package (US salary, hardship premium, housing allowance, tax equalization, US-medical insurance, ...

I really like PS cafe. Their turkey cranberry sandwich is amazing. I've been there about 10 times, and never had trouble with the service -- except for asking the servers for "recommended" dishes -- they would draw a blank...but this is typical throughout singapore. sorry about your bad experience.

Organic Peanut Butter

Do you know of any stores that I can get Organic Peanut Butter? Preferrable fresh made, instead of jarred -- and in the Bugis district. Does Marketplace in Raffles Plaza carry this?

Thanks!

I am looking for Teochew Opera performances during the week of Chinese New Year. I would like to entertain some visiting family, and think this would be a great choice. Only I cannot find any venues or programmes in Singapore. Any ideas?

Where have you found to be cheaper for camera equipment...Singapore or the USA? I am specifically looking for Nikon lenses (18-200 mm VR).

Thanks!
