I have tried to read the whole thread but it's a bit time consuming. A lot of bickering in this thread. I think that jockney has a good point that you can live a reasonable life without a maid, and still enjoy Singapore. For myself I am OK with a more simple lifestyle, and I cannot afford to pay SG...
