Does the number of times getting rejected affect future chances? Just wondering if I get rejected, will it affect my chances if I reapply another time with my spouse? His income is pretty average around 4K

I’m a long time PR holder, and recently got married to a local last April. That makes it less than two years into the marriage, but would I need to wait for two years to apply? Since im a long time PR pass holder?

Really. As long as it meets the Minimum requirements which is somewhere around 4.5K/pa basic we think. Unless you happen to be from Malaysia with a decent degree.

huh? 4.5k is alot... ok but the salary amt wont matter as much for rep renewal right?

i think so. so my application is based on PTS scheme? even though it was via family initially ? Your REP renewal application and SC application, if you decide to, will be assessed under PTS criteria. Just wanted to clarify what happens if REP expires- i will be able to live as i have in SG as long as i dont travel outside? Is there a time limit as to when i should get it renewed?

Mel, you need to be working and show your economic value if you are renewing your PR. Try get a higher salary... $2000 is a work permit - s pass category... not a good place to be in for PR...To citizenship application.
