I have just recently moved and can tell you that condos in the central area seem to go from 7K upwards for a 2500 sq ft 3/4 bed.

An OK semi or terraced are asking from 7-10K - also in Central.

Cheaper in the eastern, northern and western areas.

I was recently told of a child that had a birthday party and more than half of the kids turned up with No gift or No Card. Despite the childs brave face, there was some hurt feelings there. IS this a common thing here ? Do people stop giving birthday cards and gifts when they attend parties ? I know...

stuff goes off

Hi, DON"T pack too much food (i.e more than u will eat in 3-4 weeks) as stuff goes off very quickly here due to the humidity. CANS will be fine, but really limit yourself to dry and packet foods. TRUST ME. I buy stuff in the supermarket here and its off or stale with 3 weeks. Its just not worth stoc...

I believe that the Salvation Army ( numerous phone numbers on the web - numerous locations in Singapore) will come and collect unwanted items, but i think in order for them to collect the smaller things like clothes, books, toys etc, it has to be something like 10 black sacks.
