so reply back and tell them that it will take 25 years for the Indian courts to pass any judgment, are you sure you want to do this? I think they are trying to intimidate you into paying up. Legal notice which came through me in today's mail says that "you have to pay 1.1 Million INR to my client for the losses" in case if I don't pay then they will take legal action in Indian court. Now I am not sure what kind of legal actions they can pursue.

Most consultants work on client budgets, so if you had pushed, you may have been dropped ;) Or not. Yes that was my thought while accepting the offer, you are correct I may pushed them for couple of bucks more. My current salary in India doesn't match the Singapore offer in terms of cost of living.

Aha nationality wise rates ! I am not sure about that, btw I am from India. I have asked about the salary range from many and getting mixed response, so I am totally confused whether to put this salary in "good" or "bad" category.
