I've done it and wouldn't recommend it, for most of the reasons mentioned above. Privacy, noise, bugs (opening the rubbish chute and seeing a cockroach always woke me up pretty quickly), also the noise of other people's rubbish clattering its way down the chute. I've bought it in a regular chemist - Watsons or Guardian, not sure now as it was a long time ago.

We were talking about de facto couples, not married couples, and I do know of some that have recently migrated.

I wouldn't say it is easy, Plavt. Certainly not straight-forward and, if you go off down the wrong visa track, you can make very costly and time-consuming mistakes.

Not speaking from personal experience there, as our case is quite straight forward, but I have read a lot about this recently!
