It is unfair. In Canada you have to apply to stop paying tax no matter how long you've been out. IN order to be awarded this you have to give up most things, such as your car, home, bank accounts, driver's license, etc.

A guy I worked with brought in a couple hundred pirated dvds from China and all they did was keep them for a couple of days and then he picked them up. They said he should not have brought them in. They say you have to pay $10 to check each one, yadda yadda yadda. Better to be safe then sorry, I sup...

HI, Thanks for the advice. LG is still being made in S. Korea. Panasonic is now mostly made in Malasia for TVs. A lot of Sony is now made in China, unless you're buying high-end stuff. They received a lot of flack for allowing the build of the Playstation there a couple years back. The build quality...

LG Lafinion 72

Hi, Does anyone own a 29" LG Lafinion 72 Television? Does anyone know anything good or bad about it? The specs look very good and it carries a 4 year warranty which is 4 times that of the other brands. We don't have LG where I come from and I am wondering if this is going to be a good quality televi...

Hi, yes, you're right. I really don't want to spend more than $1200 if I can help it. I haven't really looked at JVC. Which model do you recommend?

Best 29" 100Hz Tv for the $

Hi, I've been looking to buy a new TV. I'm in the market for a 29" 100Hz model, progressive scan. Been looking mainly at Panasonic's TX-29F150M but am open to opinions. I saw an interesting LG TV in at Best Denki today. 4 year warranty but I'm not sure on the quality. Any suggestions? I cannot affor...

As I said, if you're sweating excessively then you need to see your physician.

Not much you can do about it mate. Your parents would be right to tell you that it is natural. Everyone sweats. Antiperspirants will help, but your body needs to sweat to cool down so if your underarms aren't sweating then other parts of your body will. Deodorant is better because it does not contai...

SMS, First, let me say thank you for a very thorough reply. I noticed the same type of thing when I lived in China but I thought that it was mainly due to the large gap in the social classes. I thought that Singapore, having a more developed middle class, would be different. I'm not sure it is typic...

Cleaning Up

Why do the majority of Singaporeans not clean up after themselves when they go to food courts or fast food restaurants? Other places I have visited and lived in are not like this. Do people think it is beneath them here? There is a humble dignity involved in cleaning up your own mess. Tyring to unde...

MOD Chip

Hi, Erm.....anyone know where you can buy an X-Box with an installed MOD chip? Not that I would ever use the chip..... :D but just in case I get transferred back to China in the near future and can only buy fake games. I heard that in the Funan IT Mall the shop there will sell them with chips. Thank...
