Re: Latest property cooling measurements, what are your thoughts?

IMO, 30% ABSD for foreigners (non-PR) is very hash as the percent of foreigners buying properties are already less than 5%.

Properties in the central region will be harder I guess.

Give it few months to a year and see how the market forces react to this new norm.

Re: Internet provider in Singapore.

It depends on whether you are also signing up the TV services as it is cheaper in a bundle. If you are going for Starhub TV, go for their bundled package, likewise if you are interested in Singtel MIO TV, sign up with them. Otherwise, I will go for MyRepublic for home internet as they are usually ch...

Re: Why are people so crazed about bubble tea

I like bubble tea cos it's sweet? And the chewy pearls?

If it is 0% sugar I rather drink the traditional tea 8-)

Re: Football legend Maradona has died of a heart attack

Maradona was in his peak in 1986, amazing to watch him during the World Cup 1986.

After 1990, can obviously see that his performance is no longer the same. Perhaps due to his drug abuse and his lifestyle.

Nevertheless, a sad news for all his fans around the world. RIP!

Re: Choosing the Right Doctor in SG

For me I would prefer a doctor who put in effort and time to explain the cause of the illness, symptoms and future prevention rather than those who is rushing everything.

OneDoctors in Holland Village is good, not too crowded and open till late.

Re: Rental housing

Good rental units get snapped by fast currently.

Surprising given the current pandemic. I suggest to minimise requests in order to get your choice unit.

Re: Braces rates

Interesting topic of aesthetics vs costs.

Is there anywhere which we can see reviews on local Orthodontist?

Wearing braces is not an easy experience for children, end result must look good!

Re: Will Marks and Spencer be next to go?

Retail will be hit for a long time, shopping habit has been going online in the last 10 years and COVID is the final nail in the coffin for physical retail shops.

Sad to see many familiar brands gone out of Sg.

Re: Breaking lease due to 24/7 noise. Landlord agreed to let go but back out

I am puzzled why the law firms you consulted advised you this way :???: In Singapore, the TA usually does not explicitly state that you must pay the full term of the lease but this is a contract for the full term which means if you do not fulfill, the Landlord has the right to claim the full rental ...

Re: Management Agent for Condo, big or small?

At the end of the day, a good MA needs a good site manager too! As the site manager is the one doing the daily chores, a proactive, diligent manager is the most important. I suggest the MC personally interview and select the suitable candidates for the MA, this can be used as a condition for MA sele...

Re: Management Agent for Condo, big or small?

Was in a condo council for more than 10 years. The council has tried Chambers, Knight Frank, Savills, etc. There are some good and bad condo managers employed by them throughout the years. As for selecting a MA, would recommend the bigger firms as their back-end admin, financial, IT support is much ...
