Re: When to apply for PR on EP?

Does your wife work? If so, what is her salary? Nope. She was applying before for vacancies but then SGUnited came, hence the chances are even lower(She is an English teacher, normally) We always say here that you should avoid immigration agencies ... they don't add any value to you, but you add pl...

When to apply for PR on EP?

Hello All, I have been thinking reading about PR and applications in general. The main tendency seems like waiting for 2 years under EP, and then applying. At the same time, I saw in one of the topics that it is okay to apply after the first year with EP, but I assume the chances are not that high. ...

Re: Bank account opening

would IPA for EP be enough or the physical permit itself is still required? I believe an IPA is enough but it may depend on the bank. Also if you're a US citizen only Standard and Citibank will accept your custom I believe. I am not a US citizen and am thinking about using DBS, as their site mentio...

Re: Bank account opening

Because of 1MDB scandal it is now very hard for a foreigner to open a bank account in Singapore without a work permit etc. You could try transferwise as an option - their borderless accounts are free. would IPA for EP be enough or the physical permit itself is still required? I believe an IPA is en...

Getting a sim card with IPA?

I am trying to get a sim card before my EP is delivered, but it seems not possible? I have talked to circles.life and they said they need the physical card rather than IPA. Starhub's page also doesnt list IPA as required/accepted documents. Anyone knows if any provider accepts IPA for the sim cards?

Credit Card Application

Soon I will be in Singapore with an EP, and want to get a card. I have found a site which compares the cards and so on ( https://www.finder.com/sg/credit-cards/credit-cards-for-temporary-residents ) already. The banks just give the cards ppl with a valid pass no matter how long (or rather how short)...

Re: Relocating with an EP while waiting for wife's DP

No you're right to be concerned. Until Indonesia apologises for and makes full reparations to Singapore for the MacDonald House bombing (and a few other incidents including naming their warships after the very bombers!) then Indonesian's will always have a risk of visa denial. That's what happens w...

Re: Relocating with an EP while waiting for wife's DP

No issues. She will come in on a standard social visit pass that will be good for 30 days up to 90 days (depending on where home is). If she comes in on a 30 days SVP she should be able to get a extension for the additional time (if any) to her SVP until the DP is issued. As long as you are in a no...

Relocating with an EP while waiting for wife's DP

Hello, my EP has been approved like a week ago and the company has started the process for DP of my wife. But as it is supposed to take 3-4 weeks, I am kinda confused if I should wait till it is approved or just move to Singapore and start working while my wife waits for getting her DP. I have tried...
