Re: Applying SC alone first or as a family?

First of all, if application is granted, daughter will have to renounce both non-SG citizenships. Dual Citizenship is only allowed for minor child born to Singaporean mother with foreign father and that is only up to the age of majority (e.g., 21 years of age) if both parents are foreigners, regardl...

Re: VISA application for same-sex spouse

If memory serves me right, same sex marriages are only viewed if the union was a legally registered marriage in the country of origin. But how many of them were actually approved is another story. Don't have any data for that but I would guess it is very small. It's even difficult to get common law ...

How about shaving it all off, clean?
I can certainly recommend that, yeah, Mal?

I've been shaving the pate for the past 18 years now.

Re: PR wanna be, would be or will never be. Read this

I am not going to tell you it's a no go, BUT considering how you were on a WP when your EP was approved this time, how long were you on the WP? My gut feeling is that you will need to be on an EP for 2 years before applying for PRd. Had that been a upgraded from an S pass instead of a WP, maybe you ...

For important PDF documents that I am signing, I would only do that on my laptop.

I use the free Adobe Reader.
I use the same as well. Also only on my laptop.

Re: What is the best age to teach a child how to swim?

I was taught to be comfortable in the water at the age of around 4 or 5 months of age. My father drowned at the age of 6 after diving off the end of a pier in shallow water and hit his head on a rock. A crabber walking along the shoreline seagrass with a dip net looking for blue crabs stepped on him...

Nosy57, you first and only post was made 8 minutes after you registered on this forum and you are promoting a Childcare Centre to a post made 13 years ago? The kid would have graduated his O levels by this time. Sayōnara.......

Re: Looking for Advice on PR IPA for Family of Four – Elder Son Not Keen to Take Up PR

I could potentially see ICA saying it's everybody or nobody as the intent to avoid doing NS is pretty obvious to all except those who might be both deaf & blind.

Re: Seeking Advice: PR Application Pending Beyond 6 Months

emenent88 How old is your wife? I'm afraid if she is the same age as yourself you might be fighting an uphill battle as it almost has the scent of a marriage of convenience (late in life marriage, no children and rapidly hitting the no-fly zone of the 40's where it definitely get harder to gain PR ...

Re: Singapore Citizenship Chance

I'll keep my fingers crossed for her. You misunderstood me, but that's probably cause I'm an old farmboy. What I meant by Appeal, was not in a legal sense about the rejection. I didn't clarify, but I meant appealing for their consideration that she was returning to Singapore to further her education...

Re: Singapore Citizenship Chance

If she was on the original family application that was rejected, then probably an "Appeal" might be the best way to to. But I not sure how much benefit either will be, to be honest. But linking it with the rest of the family via an appeal, to me would seem a bit more beneficial as you as the parents...
