Re: Citizenship shortest possible timeline after IPA received

For me, the letter from the embassy that indicates that I have applied to renounce my original citizenship is enough to complete the final stage of swearing the oath of allegiance. You just need to make sure to submit the final renunciation letter when it's ready from the embassy. Above is based on ...

Re: Single status will affect citizenship approval?

Nope, no issue at all. In your case, you just have to wait as you already tick all the right boxes. But still the wait is necessary. Although in your case it's liable to be shorter then people applying who are from other countries. Waits are longer because of the virus. SMS, someone has erased all ...

Re: PR Application Notification

Yes sir. That is correct. This is damn cool. Too bad I can't get to experience any of these now haha and my SC application, though approved in Nov 2019, is fully letter-based due to it being an old application from 2018. It is always a joy to deal with ICA and their efficiency and compared to my ex...

Re: PR Application Notification

Well, I can say with certainty that there are no physical documents to be submitted, or letters sent out at all from start to finish for SC applications as of 2020. No physical documents to be submitted either- everything is scan and upload, or notified via MyICA. So the PR applications might be si...

Re: PR Application Notification

For SC applications, as of 2020, an email notification is received saying there has been an update in your application, and asks to log in to MyICA to check. The status on MyICA changes to 'Approved', and the AIP letter (pdf) can be downloaded from MyICA rightaway. No physical letter is sent. Same ...

Re: PR Application Notification

I'd like to clarify that for Singapore citizenship status, the status on MyICA does change to approved even before AIP letter was received. The AIP letter arrived only a week later with instructions to start the Singapore citizenship journey. I got my citizenship approved last year end Nov. Thanks ...

Re: PR Application Notification

Ah okay! On the ICA it still shows pending but on the email, they said that they have finished processing it. I don't know what does that mean. In your case, was it accepted? Oh okay, maybe the practice has changed. For PR, it used to show the results - Approved (even it’s AIP) or Rejected. No emai...

Re: the end of a long journey from student > EP > PR > SC

I used Firefox in my case and after allowing Flash to run via Firefox permissions, I'm good to go. You could try that as well.

Re: Verification of documents

I believe such requests are sent through email. Almost a year after I submitted my documents at ICA (mid 2018 IIRC), ICA did email me to tell me to finalise my tuition grant bond for my university studies with MOE before they continue processing my application.
