More Sentosa - Crazy Golf, Food and Partying!!! Sun.Jun 10th

I'm going to be hitting Sentosa this Sunday for a day of fun with various people. The plan: 1) Meet at 10am at the Coffee Bean at Imbiah Lookout on Sentosa with the aim of having a crazy golf tournament at Sijori Wondergolf at 10.30am (early I know but to avoid the worst of the heat). We will be tac...

Have you tried the MOS Burger fries? They look and taste like potatoes. They are not that crisp but not very soggy either. They are not brownish-golden but just yellow-golden in colour. And they use BIG potato strips. Wonder where they buy their potatoes. No - those are fries all right, 50% potato ...

Chip. Proper chips.

In a discussion last night with a multi cultural group the subject of national food came up and we (the British) were asked where you could get 'proper' English chips in Singapore, the answer to which I didn't know, so I'm hoping someone out there might. For the uninitiated, 'proper' chips must be m...

The doors

Has anyone noticed that the automatic doors in Singapore don't open in time for a 'normal' walking pace..? Only if you move at Singaporean speed to they open in time. Classic specification... I think it's not the pace so much, more the sheer unawareness of anyone around or near them. People just see...

Air Con Servicing Recommendations

Hi, Contractually we need to get a quarterly A/C service. There are plenty of classifieds on this site, plus I've collected numerous flyers, but would anyone who has a quarterly service contract be prepared to recommend their contractor and supply details? If it makes any difference, we are located ...

Try

McKensie (sp?) in Kallang was recommened to me by our property agent as being good for 2nd hand cars. But seriously, when we arrived we did the math on the cost of car ownership (went OHMYGOD a lot), worked out we could take taxis every day virtually everywhere and still be significantly better off....

You can...

You can buy Tim Tams at the Candy Store at Millenia Walk. Probably at Marketplace as well. But I think (once you've eaten the Tim Tams) the best thing you can do is make some new great friends who will soon make you feel like SG is your home.

Good VFM

Looks like good VFM compared to the Cable 360 here in SG:

http://www.cable-ski.com/rates.html

EDIT - tho I've been told 2 hrs at Cable 360 is $65 and I'd defy anyone to do more than 2 hrs and be able to move the next day...
