I think you could make a fairly good living here if you are both working, I don't really know what the pay scales are like as I am here on a dependents pass , and my husband is here on a three year contract. I am considering trying to get a work permit as I can see the next few years as being prett...

Personally I cannot imagine anyone getting very far on the London underground by pushing people out of the way, You only have to look at a person the wrong way in UK before you get challenged. So I believe you wouldn't be pushing very many, before you land flat on your ass, and that goes for Singap...

MRT crowds, there is no give way, no queuing, people just crash in as soon the door opens, without letting people getting off first. And people don't move into the centre of the train, all cramped around the doorway, so poeple can't get on to the train. and when you ask people Politely to move, the...

Mr PStanley, could you throw some London figures this way, so we can see a comparison, it would be interesting to compare UK. I know Council tax can be a killer these days, I have also heard gas and electric have almost doubled in one year. and rents have also shot up. Even the old council house th...

Wont go in to costs of rent etc (obviously I leave that to Sir :D ) but keep in mind that a lot can change if you go from a double income household to a single one. All of a sudden there is nothing to fill ones days but endless shopping, eating and drinking - all of which costs money and it actuall...

Day to day costs of living in Singapore

Hi all, Me and the missus are very seriously thinking of moving to Singapore next year and I'm trying to get an idea of what the costs are of living in Singapore against what we can earn (we dont have any kids). This is to see if we would actually be better off financially (or worse off) than living...

ISPs in Singapore

Hi all,

Forgive me if someone has asked this before, I'm a bit of a newbie.

What are the ISPs in Singapore? I'm interested in the subscription costs and speeds (spec'd and actual speeds and reliability). Websites for all the ISPs would be great.

Thanks

regarding torrents, it is now possible for the goverment to monitor exactly the sort of content you are downloading and it's nature. I think the chinese government have adopted this software, (which I think is called 'narus' from memory,.. or that might be the software developers name?) so they can...
