Dr Chia

I am also pregnant and am seeing Dr Chia Yee Tien (female) at Mount E medical center 13-13. Tel 62352500. I am quite happy there! My first child was born in Germany, there are some differences here, but overall she is doing all the necessary checks, ultrasound and all that. I find the difference is ...

Baby carrier/backpack from Macpac

Hi, I am thinking about buying a backpack baby carrier and until now only found one here in Singapore. This is the Macpac Possum, brand from New Zealand. Anyone who has the same one could you please let me know if you are happy with it? Also I am open for suggestions where I could find a wider range...

paying taxes in Singapore

Hi, we will be in Singapore for about 7 month. I was told that normally we have to pay taxes if we are in Singapore longer than 182 days, but for us it would be easier to pay taxes at home. Now we are planning to leave Singapore for a while. Can anyone tell me how long we have to be outside of the c...

fee for real estate agent

Hi, I heard that if the monthly rental is more than 2500 Dollars the renter does not have a fee for the real estate agent. Enen though we are going to pay much more the real estate agent is still asking or a fee of one month rental (1 year lease). Is this ok? Maybe I was not informed correctly? Than...

Renting furniture

Hi, I heard that it is possible to rent furniture for a certain periode of time. Does this make sense for a 7-8 month stay? What are the costs? We are not sure if it is better to take a furnished or partially furnished place + rent furniture. Even if we take a furnished one, can I ask for a baby bed...

oh my... really I don't understand why this is such a big thing. If you feel bothered by my question just don't answer it. But since it has been discussed now I want to explain myself: in the posts you mentioned there was a lot of info about rents, insurances, costs for schools and so on. But these ...

Sorry for asking such a "stupid" question and thanks for your replys anyway. I guess costs of living just depend on the personal way of life and like everywhere one can live on a low budget or spend a lot of money. Eating out very frequently seems to be normal. I wonder if we will do the same with a...
