i agree with sundaymorningstaple that property bull run is not like stock market where it will end in a short while. US has been having a property run for the past ten years and only recently showing signs of slowing down. currently it is the foreign buyers that are pushing the price up (for the nex...

guruvishwanath - you may not like to hear this but the only correction will be another huge upward correction. Rent/price will continue to go up for the next 3 years until the new casino is built. The record en-bloc, or tearing down of old condos will only make the situation worst. The good economy ...

Hi if i am not wrong the area you should be looking at Serangoon, Paya Lebar and East Coast (nearest is Serangoon). Try google earth and you see what i mean. Bukit Timah, Bishan, Novena, Newton is too far. Ang mo kio still ok. Can email to school to ask where most kids staying. With family, condo is...

totally agree with you leela, many people don't realise it when they buy house that they are paying "rent" as interest to the bank. The cost of putting a roof on our head is always there, whether it is rent, loan interest or for some lucky feel opportunity cost.

all those whose lease expired for the past 3-5 months all had a bad experience, especially those staying in city central, but high rent is here to stay. You should have re-negotiate last year, too late to do anything now. Your only choice is to learn to commute from outside city. Cheapest is furthes...

I disagree with leela as if one made the correct "investment" decision of buying an apartment instead of renting, the person will not just save on a huge expense item ($50-$150k rent of 2 yrs) but turn it into a profitable investment. The recent increase in rent is due to the increase in property pr...

Hi Villa Marina is a very beautiful condo, but be aware that the whole condo surrounds a mosque (can see from google earth), so you must be very careful which unit you choose as the unit facing the mosque can be noisy at some time.

Good luck!

The ICON is by a local developer called Far East, owner is richess man in Sing. But the website sucks. Thus they did not even put in on the internet for list search. Marina Bay Sail is another condo, very far from your office, walking i think at least 40mins, but next to casino so if you gamble then...

the turn around cost for property in Sing is about 5% the cost of staying at city core area is about 3-4% the word in the sing property market is that prices will go up until the new casino opens, thats 3 years later prices and rental in city core went up by 20-50% last year so the above tells you i...

Hi, first thing to tell you is, don't worry, its very expat friendly here. 1) there are more than enough good HDBs at good local school here, for $1800 per mth you can get the best (HDB) units, but for condo expect to pay 2-3 times more 2) for local schools it all depends on how good your kids are, ...

IMO, trust me, you don't want to stay there, they are very old, they renovated a few but left the rest in conditions that i personally find ..... But that is my personal opinion. You better be prepared to move if you are staying there. And its not cheap either. One of the best service apartment in S...

HDBs in Queenstown is the best, although a bit old, but there are new ones. Only problem is there are very few of them.

West Coast and Clementi you must be careful as some are really far out from transport and amenities.

Accoun

In my own opinion, the condos in that area is not as great, my reasoning is this; 1) very pricey rent for just river/sea view, i can get similar sea view units at east coast at higher floor for that price 2) or for that price i can live at the heart of the city at orchard 3) there are absolutely no ...
