Re: LTVP + LOC: Crypto and Investments

Investments wouldn't be derived from an employer so that's alright. Wouldn't be an issue at all. This is the exact quote: "11.—(1) The Controller may issue a letter of consent to the holder of any pass issued by the Controller of Immigration under the Immigration Regulations (Cap. 133, Rg 1) (refer...

LTVP + LOC: Crypto and Investments

I have recently received my LTVP and PLOC granting me to start work for a private company. I have just moved from the UK, where I was not only working full time but had built up some large crypto assets. From what I've read of the LTVP and LOC, I am only allowed to work for the stated employer. The ...

Re: Quarantine for Pets in Singapore

^ That’s why you should have used a pet relocation company. They would advise you that you should avoid having your flight landing outside CAPQ office hours 8am to 10.30pm (Monday to Saturday) and on Sundays/public holidays or else the pet is kept overnight in an air-conditioned holding room until ...

Re: Quarantine for Pets in Singapore

You would probably have to board the cat at a boarding facility and arrange for the staff to pick the cat up from the airport since you won’t be able to transport him there yourself. I see.. unfortunately the air line staff don't seem to understand how it all works either! Not surprised. We tried i...

Re: Navigating quaruntine & LTVP

Quick update - I landed and entered SG today. Absolutely no issues, in fact very smooth. At London Heathrow, the airline staff were very thorough with looking at all the documents and took about 20 minutes to understand Singapore's requirements which they said were the longest of any country. Noneth...

Re: Navigating quaruntine & LTVP

Thank you for your concern everyone. I have taken the no risk approach and booked a flight ticket back to London as a precaution. In years gone by I would have booked a bus ticket to Malaysia, but that obviously isn't an option atm. I think that should be me ok now. Just have to hope I can get my LT...

Re: Navigating quaruntine & LTVP

did you need to provide evidence that you were 'departing' the country to get your short term visa, or did you just explain you were applying for LTVP? When my husband applied for LTVP in 2019, he packed these in his carry-on backpack: the PMLA and an onward ticket from a budget airline to a nearby...

Re: Navigating quaruntine & LTVP

You get a STVP as a default when you come to Singapore. We get 90 days as British citizens. I've actually lived and worked in SG previously under a EP, but before I got the EP I had to enter the country and show proof that I would be leaving within the duration of the STV - e.g. bus to Malaysia. Di...

Should be fine. Keep us updated!
Can I ask - when you entered Singapore, did you need to provide evidence that you were 'departing' the country to get your short term visa, or did you just explain you were applying for LTVP?

Re: Navigating quaruntine & LTVP

Hi Ash, Just as an update: Arrived in SG: 8/8/21 Applied LTVP: 14/8/21 Approved in principle: 02/09/21 So if you apply as soon as you arrive, by the time you’re out from SHN, you shouldn’t have to wait terribly long. A week or two more, perhaps. Hope that’s of some help? I’ll let you know once I’ve...

Re: Safe Travel - Selecting an entry date

Hello Ash, Hope you got your LTVP stuff sorted? You never came back to your last post. My situation was basically this: Wife is Singaporean. Her spouse visa (UK) expired on 27th July and our tenancy was up on the 7th August. I got permission from U.K. government for her to stay until our tenancy en...

Re: Safe Travel - Selecting an entry date

Update: I have just gained entry for the date after I will land. However, if you read the guidance, they allow for +/- one day. The system is very unflexible and I imagine is saturated by people filing their applications where they have a 20 minute window to complete. So tip from me is to keep tryin...

Safe Travel - Selecting an entry date

Hi - I am currently trying to work the ICA SafeTravel Portal to gain access to Singapore. After selecting dates, it seems every date is "not available" for the next 30 days. However, every now and then a date comes up. Is it best to just keep trying for the date you want each day? I don't understand...

Re: Navigating quaruntine & LTVP

This post from 3 years ago suggested posting a blank D/E card to the recipient overseas and use that number to start the LTVP application. However, ICA no longer issues a physical D/E card since Mar 2020, and it is replaced with this instead which is available on an app . If you click on the image ...

Re: Quarantine for Pets in Singapore

Taken from the Nparks website, “Dogs and cats from Category A or B countries are not required to undergo quarantine provided all veterinary conditions for import are met, and the animals are clinically healthy upon arrival.”. Yes, that is really useful... but if me and my partner have to quarantine...
